Job Summary:

Job Functions:

  • Acts as a point of contact for all client inquiries regarding sample and data status.
  • Schedules and monitors laboratory workflow for third-party client samples, ensuring that work is completed and data delivered in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that orders are placed correctly and received promptly by the laboratory teams to avoid issues and maintain turn-around-time obligations.
  • Performs regular audits and tracking of sample status through the lab and through the LIMS systems to ensure work is proceeding as scheduled.
  • Works with third-party customer liaisons to address any problems or issues the client is experiencing.
  • Assists with troubleshooting laboratory issues, errors, or problems with samples.
  • Assists with special requests or VIP samples.
  • Works as a liaison between the laboratory and the IT department to address issues or concerns with data delivery and troubleshoot delayed results.
  • Assists the Accounting department with billing issues for client orders.

Skills:

Requirements:

  • Four-year Bachelor’s degree or greater in a biological science or related field.
  • Previous laboratory experience and an understanding of laboratory procedures.
  • Must be highly organized and have meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience working with and reviewing large amounts of data and information.
  • Expertise with the Microsoft Office suite of programs, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to quickly learn and work with laboratory LIMS systems.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to maintain quality client relationships.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of and experience with Gene By Gene’s LIMS systems and laboratory processes.
  • Familiarity with Gene By Gene’s data analysis, upload, and delivery systems.
