Job Summary: Business analysts reviews, analyzes, and evaluates user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. They provide in-depth analysis services and suggest strategies to key partners and stakeholders of a company. They also review business processes to help diagnose the business’ financial, operational and technological risks as well as act as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise.

Job Functions:

  • Gathering requirements from stakeholders, identifying process improvement, and assisting with workflow enhancements.
  • Identifying opportunities to further enhance system functionality.
  • Testing, maintaining, improving company operations and systems.
  • Reporting on a regular basis to key stakeholders and partners’ operational concerns that may arise.
  • Helping the business to cost-effectively implement technology improvements and solution.
  • Evaluating how various project teams perform, and making sure they meet targets and deadlines.
  • This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to provide functional and technical support to the business users.
  • Collaborates with system users for program updates, reviewing the impacts of the updates and coordinating implementations and training for user groups.
  • Ability to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.


  • Ability to prioritize effectively and adjust to organizational needs and demands.
  • Ability to work with a vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information and priorities.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of business concepts and requirements as applicable to a large academic, research, and/or healthcare facility preferred.


  • Bachelor Degree in related field.
  • Five years experience in project management or workflow analysis.
