Your provider can review your symptoms to determine the appropriate testing needed. If COVID-19 testing is determined appropriate for you, your provider will instruct you on where to get tested, which includes collecting your specimens. Your specimens will be sent to a lab, such as Gene By Gene, for COVID-19 testing.
Gene By Gene’s COVID-19 testing requires specimens collected from the nose which must be collected by a healthcare provider. The preferred sample types are nasopharyngeal (NP) or nasal swabs.
