This month, we're thrilled to feature Dr. Arjan Bormans, our esteemed Chief Scientific Officer and a pivotal member of Gene by Gene's Leadership Team. With over 15 years of dedicated service, Arjan's journey within our organization is a testament to his expertise and leadership.

Arjan's career trajectory at Gene by Gene is remarkable, progressing from Automation Specialist to Director of Research and Development, Director of Assay Development, and now, Chief Scientific Officer. His comprehensive understanding of our operations has been instrumental in our success, particularly in driving the growth and implementation of our Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology.

Holding a BS in Microbiology and a PhD in Microbiology from Texas A&M University, Arjan brings a robust scientific foundation to his role. His early experience as a Lead Scientist in Technology Development, coupled with his work on our genealogy brand, Family Tree DNA, provided the perfect springboard for his leadership in our technological advancements.

Currently, Arjan is at the forefront of Gene by Gene's strategic shift towards enhanced NGS capabilities. He is working closely with both our clients and internal teams to seamlessly integrate new NGS workflows and transition existing processes. His vision and technical acumen are critical as we solidify our position as a leader in cutting-edge genomic solutions.
